Community Life Inclusion Project (CLIP)
GRVEC has great pleasure in announcing a new programme, the Community Life Inclusion Project (CLIP). CLIP is a socially inclusive project that aims to help young people increase their understanding of what the community services sector does and the range of careers available.
CLIP is an initiative of St Laurence Community Services who has partnered with leading community services organisations Karingal, Glastonbury, Pathways and Barwon Health to drive this program. GRVEC will coordinate the project.
The program will focus on the current and emerging opportunities in the community service sector and provide students with a hands on exploration of the partner organisations and their work with families and children, people who have a disability, older people and those who are experience disadvantage in our community.
CLIP will run for a period of 6 months and at the end of that time scholarships will be offered to some participants to take up an SbAT or undertake a VET course in community services with one of the partners.
Go to our GRVEC Programs tab to keep up-to-date with the program and see who the 12 successful young people are in our 2011 program.
