Placement Web Portal Introduction

The GRVEC team have been busy over the break talking to employers about work placements and seeking hosting opportunities for Geelong students.

 

TRADING DAYS

GRVEC will be hosting two 'trading days' in Term 1 for all schools to access our placements.  Teachers will be invited to attend a 'Work Experience Trading Day' (Friday 24th February - Deakin University Percy Baxter Theatre at 9.15am) and a 'SWL Trading Day' (Thursday 15th March - Matthew Flinders Girls SC at 1.30pm).

Once each trading day is completed we will then upload the remaining work placements onto our portal.  New placements will be continually added throughout the year, so check back regularly. 

 

TERM 1 PLACEMENTS

For Senior VCAL students who might require assistance in Term 1 to find a placement we will work with the school on an individual basis.  Schools will need to download and complete a Request Form and fax (5222 5807) or email (info@grvec.org.au) it back to us at GRVEC.  Alternatively you can give us a call and let us know what your placement needs are.

 

NEW PORTAL FEATURE!

Students can now search the Placement Web Portal and view placements without the need to be logged in by a teacher.  GRVEC have allowed 'read-only' access so you can search the portal from any computer, at home or at school.

Once a student has decided on a placement he/she would like to apply for, a teacher will have to log in to submit the application.
